Suicide Prevention and Awareness

On September 13, 2008 at 9:00 a.m., the first ever community walk for suicide prevention and awareness will take place at Munster Centennial Park.  All funds raised benefit the AFSP (American Foundation for Suicide Prevention).  Monies raised will benefit our community both for support for survivors and for educational awareness programs.  Please log onto www.outofthedarkness.org  This web page has a link to the community walk here in Munster.  Please come out to support this very important event!

Senior Retreat 2008

This year's Senior Retreat was again held at Camp Perlstein in Wisconsin.  A great time was had by all who attended.  For more information about next year's retreat, please contact Carol Szaks at the Federation office, 219-922-4024.

If you have children between the ages of 6 months and 7 years, they are eligible to receive a free, age-appropriate Jewish book or CD in the mail each month through the PJ Library Program. Contact the Federation for more information at 219-922-4024, or visit the PJ Library Program.

Congressman Pete Visclosky Holds Town Meeting
